Apply for a Grant

We have funds available and want them to reach the people who can benefit most.

Who can apply?

Applications must be submitted through a recognised third party, such as:

· A local authority

· A school, college or education provider

· A registered charity

· Another recognised organisation or agency supporting the proposed beneficiary

Current priority criteria

  An application should:

· Benefit a child or young person who is care-experienced, has a disability or has an additional need.

· Support education, training or a practical step towards opportunity.

· Relate to a beneficiary who lives in the North of England.

· Set out clearly what is needed, the cost and the difference the grant would make.

Examples of suitable requests

A social worker might refer a young person who wants to enter higher education but cannot afford travel, equipment or course-related costs. A school or charity might seek specialist learning software, tuition or equipment for an eligible beneficiary. These are the types of practical barriers the Foundation may be able to help remove.
